If you want to help build a green planet for the future, enjoy global developments and modern techniques and prefer practical work to a desk job, then horticulture is the right field for you. Get to know future projects, digital possibilities and international work during your training as a journeyman gardener in ornamental horticulture.

Your second home – solo or in a group

With us, you can choose between two types of training: either you spend all your time at our company, or you take advantage of a dual opportunity for the future with joint training. In this case, we will train you together with the horticultural company Gartenbau Honnen. Every horticultural business has different plants, works with different machines and sells through different channels. If you choose the joint training programme, you will spend part of your training period at each company. This means that during the normal training period, you will gain twice as much knowledge about different forms of horticulture, have two trainers as contact persons for any questions you may have and two companies that may want to hire you after your training. Regardless of which type of training you choose, you are welcome to get to know us in advance through a short or long internship before you decide to train with us.

Internship – get to know yourself and us

Whether you are a school pupil, student or adult, there are many good reasons to do an internship with us. For example, we offer school pupil internships (see also the information on ‘Girls’ Day’ below) and internships for students. Or would you like to get to know us because you are considering training as a gardener with us? Simply contact us without obligation and we will discuss the possibilities.

Girls’ Day 2026 – on 23 April

Take part in Girls’ Future Day and learn about the profession of gardener with us in a one-day internship. First, there will be a tour of the premises with the boss through the greenhouses, to the irrigation and fertiliser systems and into our cold store. In the office, you will see how modern sales work, e.g. with websites and social media. Then it’s time to get hands-on: you’ll help sort and care for plants and pack them for sale. You’ll spend most of your time working in the greenhouse, but depending on the weather, you may also go out into the fields. Our friendliest employees will be on hand to show you everything and explain how it all works. Children aged 10 and above are welcome to take part. We look forward to seeing you!
